This breadth of experience gives me a deep understanding of both the day-to-day challenges on site and the strategic leadership required to run safe, compliant, and high-performing operations. Backed by WorkSafe DMIRS accreditation—including Site Senior Executive and Unrestricted Quarry Manager qualifications—I ensure every project meets the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance.​

I have worked on some of Australia’s most complex and demanding projects, building and leading high-performance teams, improving safety outcomes, and consistently delivering strong operational results. Along the way, I’ve developed a reputation for optimising performance, reducing costs, and embedding sustainable improvement frameworks that create long-term value.

What I’m most passionate about is developing people. I have mentored many team members, helping Leading Hands step into Supervisor roles, Supervisors advance to Superintendents, and Superintendents grow into Managers. Supporting others to reach their potential and building strong leadership capability is a source of great pride.

My leadership style is hands-on, practical, and people-focused. I believe real results come from combining technical excellence with strong relationships, open communication, and a culture of trust. Whether working with crews, contractors, regulators, or communities, I focus on fostering collaboration and alignment to achieve the best outcomes.

Ben Wilson
I am a highly versatile mining professional with extensive leadership experience across open pit mining, earthworks, and site training. Having progressed from operating heavy machinery through to frontline supervision and site leadership roles, I bring both practical, hands-on knowledge and proven management capability to every project I lead. Backed by WorkSafe DMIRS accreditation—including Site Senior Executive, Unrestricted Quarry Manager, and Schedule 26 Supervisor qualifications—I deliver safe, compliant, and high-performing operations across Western Australian mining sites.​
​My career has spanned a diverse range of operations across Iron Ore, Lithium and Mineral Sands, where I have managed day-to-day production activities, overseen crews, and supported superintendents and engineers to deliver on operational plans. I have also been responsible for incident investigations, compliance reporting, workforce development, and implementing training frameworks that lift capability across entire teams.

I am passionate about developing people and building high-performing crews. From mentoring operators into step-up supervisory positions to delivering structured training programs aligned with statutory and site requirements, I take pride in supporting others to succeed and grow. My qualifications in leadership, surface operations management, training and assessment, and work health and safety provide a formal foundation that complements my practical experience in the field.
Known for being hands-on and adaptable, I step in wherever I am needed—whether managing manning requirements, covering superintendent responsibilities, or operating equipment to keep production moving. At the same time, I maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance, and efficiency, ensuring operations run smoothly while upholding the highest standards.
